A month-long annual sports competition is being held at Milestone School and College, Uttara Model Town in the capital, as part of the co-educational programme. Milestone School and College has been organizing such impressive sports regularly at the end of the academic year every year for the psycho-physical development of the students along with the regular class education. This annual sports event held in the spacious grounds of Milestone School and College’s own permanent campus located in Diabari, Uttara will continue till mid-December. Principal of Milestone College Professor Md. Shahidul Islam recently inauguration a month-long sports competition by flying a dove, a symbol of peace. Vice-Principal and in-charge of Milestone College Diabari Campus Mohammad Ziaul Alam and Administrative Director Md. Masud Alam were present at the Inaugural ceremony. Advisor of Milestone School and College Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) is providing full support for this month-long sports event. This month-long event includes intellectual and physical exercise events like running, handball, volleyball, cricket, football, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw. Students participate individually and in teams in sports of their choice.
