WASHINGTON   – US President Donald Trump will speak to reporters Wednesday in his first public remarks since his fellow Republicans strengthened their hold on the Senate and lost their House majority to Democrats.

Trump “will hold a press conference today at 11:30 am (1630 GMT) at the White House in the East Room,” spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Twitter. Earlier, the president hailed the Republican victories as a “tremendous
success.”
