RMCH records four more fatalities in Covid-19 unit

RAJSHAHI,  – Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) recorded four more fatalities in its Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours till 6am today.

RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani told journalists that three of the deceased were the residents of Rajshahi, while another from Naogaon. Of the four new deaths, two were male and two female, he said, adding: “all of them were suffering from Covid-19 symptoms.”

“With the fatalities, the death toll reached 13 in the last six days of this month while the previous day’s fatality figure was three. However, on Sunday last, the death figure was zero,” health officials said. Earlier, the number of casualties was 100 in October, 167 in September, 340 in August, 566 in July and 405 in June, the sources added.

Meanwhile, four more patients were admitted to the Covid-19 unit during the last 24 hours, taking the number of admitted patients to 40, including six tested positive for Covid-19, at present. One patient returned home after being cured during the same time. On the other hand, four more patients were tested positive for Covid-19 after testing 155 samples in Rajshahi’s two laboratories on Friday.
