Ramayana: Ranbir, Yash's epic might get screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 could get a high-profile screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on November 5, on the day of the film’s worldwide theatrical release date. Reportedly, the makers are currently seeking the necessary permissions to organise a special screening for political leaders. However, the event is yet to be officially confirmed.

As per Mid-Day, Ranbir, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and director Nitesh Tiwari are expected to attend the proposed screening.

Reports also suggest that the makers are planning two premieres for the film, one in Mumbai and another in Delhi. The Mumbai event is reportedly being planned at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). Official confirmation of the screenings and the expected attendees is awaited.

The mythological epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Ranbir, Yash, Sai Pallavi, and director Nitesh Tiwari are reportedly expected to attend the proposed screening.

The film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Sheeba Chadha, Arun Govil and Indira Krishnan, among others. As anticipation builds around the epic’s big-screen adaptation, the proposed Rashtrapati Bhavan screening could add a notable event to the film’s launch.

With Ramayana: Part 1 gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release, the makers have unveiled fresh promotional material, including a new video showcasing the film’s title and glimpses of its action sequences. The post was captioned, “A legend unlike any you’ve ever seen. RAMAYANA: RISE OF A LEGEND - the most immersive 3D cinematic experience ever – exclusively in theatres, IMAX and Premium Large Formats worldwide November 5.”

The makers have also released a new poster featuring Jatayu, the revered bird from the epic, voiced by actor Anupam Kher. In the story, Jatayu attempts to rescue Sita after Ravana abducts her. Despite knowing the danger, he confronts Ravana, making his sacrifice a significant moment in the epic.

Planned as a two-part cinematic saga, Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, while the second instalment is slated to arrive during Diwali 2027. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
