Students of Jessore University of Science & Technology (JUST) on Sunday formed a human chain protesting attack on two students of Pharmacy Department of the university.
Vice Chancellor of Jessore University of Science & Technology Prof. Dr. Md Anwar Hossain addressed the protest as the chief guest. In his speech he urged to stop moral degradation of society, saying “if a teenager stabs his senior brothers in such a way then it becomes an example of society’s depletion. We need to catch them to survive such degradation. They need to be corrected and need to be brought under trial”.
The vice chancellor also said that “if the criminals are found juvenile during the trial, then the administration and the government will have to take care of their correction. Teenagers must be protected from it, otherwise the society will get worse”. He also urged the administration by saying that “those who injured our students must be identified and the administration must bring them under the law. The trial has to be done. It is not possible to stop the deletion of society if the juvenile act takes over the law. This trend will continue to increase without proper planning”, he added.
Among others, BCL President of Jessore Science and Technology University Subrata Bishnoi, Sheikh Hasina Hall Chhatra League General Secretary Humayun Azmira Arin, Shahid Moshur Rahman Hall Joint General Secretary of the BCL Sohel Rana, Sub-Publicity Secretary of JUST Ilias Hossain and students of Pharmacy Department Arman Ahmed were also present at the human chain.
