ONE Bank PLC has appointed Kazi Ziaul Islam as Deputy Managing Director and Head of
Financial Services and Public Sector. This is a significant leadership addition as the Bank
enters into the next phase of its growth journey.
In his new role, Ziaul will lead ONE Bank’s Financial Services and Public Sector business,
supporting the Bank’s long-term growth objectives.
Kazi Ziaul Islam brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to
joining ONE Bank PLC, he served as Chief Country Representative of Mashreq Bank,
Bangladesh, where he was responsible for the bank’s operations with a focus on business
origination and regulatory compliance. Earlier, he held senior roles at Standard Chartered
Bank, where he led banking and non-banking financial institutions, developed cash
management, trade finance, correspondent banking businesses, and also served as Head of
Public Sector. Ziaul’s professional journey began at HSBC Bangladesh.
Ziaul holds MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and
has completed executive education programmes at University of Oxford, INSEAD and the
London School of Economics (LSE).
