Gautam Haldar, Kalapara Correspondent: Kalapara Water Development Board in a drive evicted 13 illegal establishments on both sides of the flood control dam in Badurtali area of Ward No. 9 in Kalapara Municipality of Patuakhali on Wednesday.
Executive Engineer of Kalapara Water Development Board Abul Khayer informed that 45 illegal establishments have been built by illegally grabbing Paubo land in the area. The occupiers are told more than once to remove these illegal establishments. Even notice was also sent. The eviction operation was conducted as the occupants did not remove the illegal establishments, he added. Executive magistrate of Patuakhali Nadir Shah conducted the drive with the help of Kalapara Police Station.
