32 more tested positive for COVID-19 in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, – A total of 32 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 719 samples in six COVID-19 laboratories in the district.

Among the newly detected patients, 26 are from Chattogram city and six from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.

The total number of infected patients now stands at 21,216 in the district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.

Of infected persons, 15,520 are the residents of the port city and the rest 5,674 are from different upazilas of the district.

The total number of recovered patients from coronavirus rose to 16,537 with healing of 61 more people in the last 24 hours.

Besides, 1,078 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals in the port city.

A total of 304 people died of the lethal virus so far with today’s one death in Chattogram.
