Under the Filariasis Eradication Program of the Department of Health, a day-long workshop on Filariasis and Social Movement Strengthening was organized by Ascend Bangladesh in Chilmari, Kurigram in collaboration with Lepra-Bangladesh.

UpazilaParishad Chairman Shawkat Ali Sarkar BirBikrom was present as the chief guest at the occasion while UpazilaNirbahi Officer AWM Raihan Shah was present as the special guest at the discussion meeting presided over by Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer at the Upazila Health Complex meeting room on Thursday noon.

Among others, Chairman Abdul Quddus Sarkar, Women Vice Chairman Asma Begum, Golam Habib Women’s Degree College Principal Md. Zakir Hossain, Chilmari Press Club President Nazrul Islam Sabu, Ramna UP Chairman Azgar Ali, Thanahat UP Chairman AbdurRazzakMilon, Family Planning Officer Shahidul Islam and Social Service Officer Lutfar Rahman were also present at the occasion.
