Youth ODI series: Bangladesh’s 2nd match against Kiwis rescheduled

DHAKA,  – The second match of the five-match one-day series between Bangladesh Under-19 and New Zealand Under-19 was called off without a ball being bowled on Wednesday due to incessant rain at Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln.

The match however was rescheduled and will be held on Thursday at the same venue.

Bangladesh is leading the series 1-0 after winning the first match by six wickets on Sunday at the same venue.

Pacer Shoriful Islam and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury were the main architects of Bangladesh’s first win, claiming three wickets each to bundle New Zealand out for 176.

In reply, Bangladesh captain Akbar Ali hit an unbeaten 65 as Bangladesh reached 178-4 and helped his team seal the game by six wickets

The remaining matches of the series are on October 6, 9 and 13, at the same venue.
