Kashiani (Gopalganj) Corrspondent: A teacher has been accused of raping a fourth class madrasa student in Kashiani, Gopalganj.

The girl’s mother filed a case at Kashiani police station as a plain tiff in this incident on Sunday (March 2).

Monday afternoon the accused teacher Police arrested Helal Uddin Al Azad (30).

He is from Maitmukra village of Boalmari upazila of Faridpur district. Toraf Ali Khan is a true son. He was living in Bagjhapa village of Kashiani upazila for a long time.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kashiani Police Station Zillur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said that Helal Uddin Al Azad was running an unauthorized resident-non-resident women’s madrasa named HazratHalimatuzChadiaMuhammadiyaMahila Madrasa in Bagjhapa area of the upazila.

The girl was raped several times in the rest room of the madrasa, with various temptations including marriage. Last February 10th at noon, two employees of the madrasa, Faekuzzaman and Mosa. The student was raped with the help of Khadija Begum.

In this incident, the mother of the child who was tortured last Sunday has filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act as a plaintiff. Based on the case, the accused teacher has been arrested and sent to court. Two other accused in this incident are absconding.
