TBT REPORT: Featuring popular actors Khairul Basar and Safa Kabirstar, the tele-drama ‘Afsos,’ directed by Serniabat Shawon and produced by lyricist Jamal Hossain, was released Wednesday on the YouTube channel of Rangan Music.
Expressing his optimism about the drama, Basar said, “I really like the story of this drama. The director has also handled the drama with great care. Moreover, at the beginning of my acting career, I did some good work with Safa Kabir. I believe that ‘Afsos’ is going to be a significant project in that continuity.”
Meanwhile, Basar and Safa have collaborated on another wonderful story-based drama titled ‘Ontoto Kotha Hoke,’ written by Sohail Rahman and directed by Selim Reza.
The shooting of the drama has been completed at various locations in Uttara of the capital. Basar left for Singapore after completing this drama, and Safa also went abroad to spend some time.
Regarding his role in the drama, Basar said, “‘Ontoto Kotha Hoke’ is a love story set in the present time. It’s a drama about the story of two ordinary individuals of the present time. Through various complications, a boy and a girl meet and talk. But they are confused about whether they love each other or not. At one point, they realize that there is something between them. The director has tried to make the drama with great sincerity, and Safa Kabir was very cooperative in this drama, as always. My working understanding with her is also excellent in one word.”
Safa said, “I am very optimistic about the two dramas. As a co-artiste, Khairul Basar is very sincere, in one word. I like Basar’s performance as much as my own. I feel very comfortable working with him as a co-artist. I also enjoyed collaborating with him once again. I hope the audience will like both dramas.”
Director Selim Reza said, “Earlier, I made eight to nine dramas. However, ‘Ontoto Kotha Hoke’ is my first collaboration with the duo, Basar and Safa. I believe the audience will fall in love with this story.”
