Govt sets up Sheikh Kamal IT center to make youth skilled on IT: Palak

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said that the government is establishing Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center across the country to build the youths as skilled workforce on information technology.

“Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center is being established to make the young generation as skilled on information technology so that they can deal with the demand of time,” he said.

The state minister said this while speaking at a function as the chief guest at Shilpakala Academy on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center at Anandpur of Habiganj Sadar Upazila, said a press release.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali was present at the function as the special guest with Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) Managing Director GSM Jafarullah in the chair.

Noting that a new horizon of employment has been opened for the meritorious young generation, Palak said taking training from the IT training and incubation centers, the youths could create self-employment by becoming freelancers through outsourcing, e-commerce entrepreneurs and mobile app developers.

He also said that the curriculum of the center will be changed every year so that they can develop their skills in accordance with the demand of the time.

A seven-story building will be constructed on eight acres of land at a cost Taka 80 crore for the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center at Anandpur here.

Local lawmaker Md Abu Zahir and Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center Project Director Md Atiqul Islam spoke at the function, among others.
