Producer Ehsanul Haque Babu was bestowed with the prestigious Bangladesh Entertainment Journalists Association (BABISAS) Award for his unparalleled contributions as a producer. The luminous Babisas Awards ceremony transpired on the evening of September 09, at the sophisticated Krishibid Institution Auditorium in the city’s epicenter.

During this memorable occasion, the award was presented by the chief guest, Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, MP, the respected State Minister of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. The eminent Abul Hossain Majumdar chaired the evening’s proceedings.

With a dynamic tenure spanning thirteen years, Ehsanul Haque Babu has distinguished himself in both film and advertisement production. His portfolio boasts the production of three films and an impressive count of over 500 TV commercials. His cinematic masterpiece, “Rehana Maryam Noor,” has the notable distinction of being the first film from Bangladesh to contend in the main competition at the illustrious Cannes Film Festival. Additionally, his film “Live from Dhaka” garnered acclaim as the best film at the Meril Prothom Alo Award 2019, with “Rehana Maryam Noor” following suit in 2021.

Furthermore, “Rehana Maryam Noor” clinched the New Talent Award at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, the Jury Grand Prize at the Asia Pacific Skills Award, and the Best Feature Film Award at the Valencia International Film Festival Cinema Jove in Spain.
