Prothom Alo reporter Shamsuzzaman Shams was released from Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj this evening soon after the bail order reached the prison.

Earlier in the day, Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur granted him bail on Taka 20,000 bond in a case lodged under Digital Security Act (DSA) with capital’s Ramna Police Station.

One Advocate Abdul Moshiur Malek filed the case against Shams, Prothom Alo editor Motiur Rahman, and two others on March 29.
