The Barishal bureau office of the English daily ‘The Bangladesh Today’ published from Dhaka has been officially inaugurated on Saturday. Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Barishal Press Club president and editor of Daily Ajker Barta Kazi Nasir Uddin Babul inaugurated the office as the chief guest at Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Barishal Press Club’s main auditorium.
Barishal bureau chief of The Bangladesh Today Engineer Zihad Rana chaired the occasion while among others, Barishal News Editors’ Council General Secretary Syed Mehedi Hasan, Chairman of Engineering BD Network Nurul Islam, former General Secretary of Barishal Journalist Union Belayet Bablu, Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Barishal Press Club Sports Secretary M Nasimul Haque, Apurba Apu of DBC News and News Editors Council Barishal President Hasibul Islam, Kazi Rana of Daily Ajker Barta, Managing Editior of Daily Desh Jonopod SN Palash, organizing secretary of News Editor’s Council Khandker Rakib, president of Barishal Online Journalists Union Mamun-or-Rashid,, Barishal youth journalist Forum president and Barishal correspondent of Ananda Television Majibur Rahman Nahid, journalist Syed Bashir Ahmed, Chief Editor of Barishal Crime News Sohel Mollah, HM Helal, HR Hira, Al-Amin Gazi, Imran Hossain and journalists working in various media, were also present at the occasion.
The chief guest in his speech said that journalism is a great profession. It is a very good news that Zihad Rana took the responsibility as the Barishal bureau chief of the respectable English newspaper ‘The Bangladesh Today’. We wish that more educated people like Zihad Rana should come to the journalism profession. We wish the success of the Bangladesh Today and Zihad Rana.’
Meanwhile, after the program popular IT company Engineer BD Network’s Barishal office was also inaugurated.
