Tanjin Tisha makes a comeback to screen

TBT REPORT

Popular television actress Tanjin Tisha has established a distinct identity among audiences through her acting skills and natural screen presence. However, her absence from drama shoots over the past few months had sparked various speculations. Rumours even circulated that she was leaving television dramas to focus on films. The actress has now put those rumours to rest and returned to shooting for dramas.

Since joining Shakib Fahad’s film Soldier last year, Tisha had not been regularly seen working on television dramas. She had not participated in the shooting of any new drama for around four and a half months. Following the break, she has already completed work on two dramas. Alongside Mahidul Mahim’s Bhalobashar Obhijan, she recently acted in Chayanika Chowdhury’s Prothom Dekhar Por.

Prothom Dekhar Por is being produced to mark director Chayanika Chowdhury’s 25th anniversary in the profession. Tisha stars opposite Irfan Sajjad in the drama. The actress has also explained why she decided to return to television after such a long break.

Tisha said, “I did not shoot any dramas for around four and a half months. That made everyone assume that I had perhaps left television dramas to focus on films. But I never forget my roots. Drama is my root, and it is also something I love. When I felt that it was time to start working again, I returned to dramas.”

Speaking about Prothom Dekhar Por, she said it is a beautiful love story and added that she greatly enjoyed working with Chayanika Chowdhury again after a long time.

Meanwhile, Tisha’s film Soldier has not yet been fully completed. The shooting of one song and several scenes remains. If everything proceeds according to plan, the film may be released in cinemas toward the end of this year. Shakib Khan stars opposite Tisha in the film, which tells the story of an ordinary person’s struggle against corruption and syndicates.
