“It is important to choose truth over pretending”:  Prova

TBT REPORT

Actress Sadia Jahan Prova is often seen expressing herself openly on social media. She regularly shares her thoughts on life, reality and personal experiences.

As part of this, she recently shared an emotional post discussing relationship breakdowns, mental peace and the importance of self-respect.

Walking away from a relationship does not necessarily mean giving up hope in someone; rather, it means accepting a difficult truth about oneself. A relationship that once held great importance in one’s life may eventually become a source of deep emotional pain. In such circumstances, accepting that reality can be the wiser choice.

Prova wrote, “The value of love should never come at the cost of losing your mental peace, identity or mental health. People who stay by your side only when they need something from you may not benefit you, but they can still drain you completely. There may also be family members who cross your boundaries, while others may be present physically but still make you feel alone. In such situations, people keep trying in the hope that things will change, until one day they realise that they are losing themselves in the process.”

In her post, Prova said, “Removing everything from your life is not an act of cruelty; rather, it is a sign of courage. It is important to choose the truth over pretending and to prioritise self-respect over silent suffering. Some may say that a person has changed, but they fail to understand that cutting someone out of your life is not necessarily about abandoning them—it can ultimately be a decision to save yourself.”

Prova concluded, “Healing is never possible in a place where you are constantly being hurt. You cannot grow in an environment that constantly restricts your mental space. Therefore, walking away from a relationship or situation does not necessarily mean abandoning someone; rather, it can be a path to reclaiming your self-worth. Sometimes, letting something go can be the greatest and most powerful expression of love.”
