TBT REPORT
Actress Samira Khan Mahi does not regularly appear in television serials. She was last seen in Deepto TV’s long-running serial “Khusbu,” directed by Sajjad Sumon, where she appeared for a limited period in some of the episodes. This time, Mahi has taken on roles in two mini-series, “Mayar Shongshar” and “Kormofol.” Both projects are set to be released soon on the Cinemawala YouTube channel.
Directed by Mohin Khan, Kormofol is a family drama featuring Dilarah Zaman, Irfan Sajjad, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, AKM Hasan, Deepa Khondakar, Monira Mithu, and others.
Meanwhile, Mayar Shongshar has been directed by Mohammad Omar Faruk. Earlier this year, he directed the miniseries Chena Ochena, starring Allen Shubhro and Tabassum Chhoya. Mahi did not wish to reveal the other cast members of Mayar Shongshar at this stage, saying the production house would announce the details soon.
Speaking about the two projects, Samira Khan Mahi said, “Both series will be released on the Cinemawala YouTube channel. Both are essentially family stories. One is a female-centric story, while the other is a family drama. They explore family emotions, relationships, and various realities of life. Many talented actors have worked in these projects. I hope audiences will enjoy them once they are released.”
Meanwhile, Mahi’s drama “Kotha Dilam” was released on the Jago Entertainment YouTube channel. Directed by Imraul Rafat, the drama is a love story and also stars Arsh Khan opposite Mahi.
In recent times, Samira Khan Mahi has reduced the number of projects she takes on. The actress said the decision was intentional, as she wants to devote more time to herself and her family.
