TBT chairman selected as a member on AL’s new sub-committee

Md. Jobaer Alam, the Chairman of the Department of Oceanography, University of Dhaka as well as the Acting Editor of The Bangladesh Today, has become a member of the newly approved Education and Human Resources Affairs sub-committee of Bangladesh Awami League. He expressed his gratitude to the party leader and the incumbent Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. “I am very grateful to the Awami League President, daughter of Bangabandhu, Mother of Humanity, and People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina for electing me as a member of the newly formed sub-committee on Education and Human Resources Affairs of Bangladesh Awami League.

On the other hand, the first meeting of approved Education and Human Resources Affairs sub-committee of Bangladesh Awami League for 2019-2022 was held at the party office, Dhanmondi, Dhaka on Monday.

The member secretary Shamsun Nahar Chapa and other members of the sub-committee were present in the meeting. At the meeting, everyone demanded arrest of those who patronized the culprits in vandalizing an under construction sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Kushtia.

The committee members will work on revamping and upgrading the current education system in order to take Bangladesh in the league of developed nation. The published list has 40 members on board and will have three years tenure. The members of this committee are distinguished academicians, researchers, and educationists who have immensely contributed in the shaping of Bangladesh’s academic system.

The committee was approved on the 1st December and the full list of 40 members of the committee was released on Monday.
