Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said taking people into its fold the AL will resist the communal evil forces of the country, reports BSS.

The minister said this after paying homage to Bangabandhu at Bangabandhu Bhaban on Dhanmondi Road 32 here marking 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

“On the National Mourning Day, our oath will be to resist any kind of evil force especially the communal one with support from the people under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” said the ruling party leader.

“We should not be confined to paying homage to the memory of Bangabandhu only. Appropriate respect to Bangabandhu will be shown if we can pursue the instances of honesty and courage that Bangabandhu had demonstrated,” Quader added.
