RAJSHAHI,  – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested four alleged drug peddlers with 784 bottles of foreign-made wine and 42.6 kilograms of ganja here last night.

According to the RAB sources, the arrested were identified as Shamim Reja, 27, Abdul Mannan, 32, Billal Hossain, 25, and Saiful Islam, 18.

A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in Baya area under Airport Police Station in Rajshahi city and arrested Shamim Reja with 784 bottles of foreign wine around 11.30 pm red-handed, RAB sources said here today.

Another RAB team arrested the three others with 42.6 kilograms of ganja after searching a private car in Ramar Char area under Salanga Police Station in Sirajganj district around 10.30 pm.

Two separate cases were recorded with the respective police stations and the arrested persons along with the seized goods including the private car were handed over to police.
