Noakhali-04 constituency MP and district Awami League general secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury has formed the foundation with the help of the helpless, poor and working people of Noakhali. The name of the foundation is Ekram Chowdhury Foundation. A few days ago, by opening an account in Sonali Bank he deposited a grant of Tk 50 lakh and started the foundation’s journey.
Noakhali-4 constituency MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury said the foundation will work for the working and helpless people who have become unemployed due to the Covid-19 known as coronavirus. In the meantime, food and necessary supplies have been distributed among the families of almost 60 to 70 thousand people in the district. This practice will keep on continuing. Due to the current condition of the region, it was agreed to open the Ekram Chowdhury Base, considering the day laborers, employees and the poor citizens of the district.
He also said that the wealthy people of the society from any corner of the country or from outside the country (emigrants) can also come forward to the service of humanity by depositing any amount of money starting from Tk500 to the foundation. Anyone who is able to, job-holders, public-private officer can aid with this foundation’s account (Sonali Bank, Maizadi-Noakhali Branch, account name-Ekram Chowdhury Foundation, account number–3818202002644) by doing an online transaction or by directly appearing in the bank. With the slightest assistance from everyone, food items will be reached through volunteers to the poor families, which also includes the helpless day laborers.
And today 15th April The leader of humanity has helped the people by providing 1,000 PPE. The first step is 1 thousand PPE. If necessary, another 1,000 more PPE will be provided in the next step. This is a personal initiative of Ekramul Karim Chowdhury. In this initiative, PPE will be given to every police station, Upazila health complex, upazila administration, DC office, SP office, civil sergeant office, Sadar Hospital and media of the 9 upazila.
Noakhali-4 constituency MP Ekramul Karim Chowdhury said, “We will stand by the side of Noakhali with whatever they require in this Corona pandemic. My initiatives will always be ongoing. Not just for the ordinary people, I want to be on the side of everyone. I stand beside the unemployed, the laborers, the poor and the helpless; I also provided transportation to health care in this time of Corona disaster. So that health care or health workers have no problem in their duty. We have taken this step because of safety and security, including health risks.
