Safana Nomni, who began her journey on screen as a child artiste, is now preparing to take on a new identity. After becoming a familiar face through the long-running television drama ‘Mashrafi Junior’, Nomni is now preparing to make her debut as a film heroine. If everything goes as planned, she will make her debut in Anonno Mamun’s upcoming film ‘Danob’.

Nomni entered the showbiz industry through television commercials. She later caught viewers’ attention with her performance in Adnan Al Rajib’s drama ‘Bikal Belar Pakhi’. She also worked in films as a child artiste. In ‘Poramon 2’, she played the childhood character of Pooja Cheri, gaining experience on the big screen. Earlier, Nomni had also participated in the shooting of ‘Love 2014’. A photo of her acting alongside Shakib Khan in the film recently surfaced online.

The biggest chapter of Nomni’s acting career so far, however, has been ‘Mashrafi Junior’. She joined the Deepto TV drama in 2020, while studying in Class Five. She went on to play a central character in the series for five consecutive years. By the time the drama ended, Nomni was a Class Ten student. Her long association with the same character earned her considerable recognition and appreciation from viewers.

After ‘Mashrafi Junior’ ended, Nomni took a brief break from acting. Instead of taking on new projects, she focused on her studies while also preparing to return to the screen in a new way. It is now reported that this preparation has led to an opportunity to make her debut as a film heroine.

Director Anonno Mamun is not ready to officially comment on Nomni’s involvement in ‘Danob’ yet. However, he has not denied the reports either. The filmmaker said the name of the film’s heroine will be officially announced soon at a special event.

Meanwhile, Mamun recently shared a childhood photo of Nomni with Shakib Khan on his Facebook profile. The photo was taken during the shooting of ‘Love 2014’. In his post, the director mentioned that the heroine of ‘Danob’ had previously worked with Shakib Khan. However, due to various complications, ‘Love 2014’ was ultimately never released.

Like the director, Nomni’s family is also reluctant to share details about ‘Danob’ at this stage. However, according to sources close to the project, discussions with Nomni regarding her involvement in the film have been finalised. She is expected to officially sign the contract soon. In the meantime, the actress is preparing herself for the big screen.

Anonno Mamun announced ‘Danob’ in late 2024. Following the announcement, there were also rumours that actor Shariful Raj would star in the film. However, the director has yet to make any official announcement regarding his involvement. If everything goes according to plan, shooting for the film is expected to begin toward the end of this year.

From child artiste to a familiar face on television, Safana Nomni is now waiting to bring her years of acting experience to the big screen as a heroine. Once the official announcement is made, viewers will learn more about her character and co-stars in this new chapter of her career.
