‘Hindi Diwas’ and ‘Hindi Fortnight-2026’ were celebrated with enthusiastic participation and zeal. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp. As part of the day’s program, a running race was held at the Circuit House grounds at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, followed by a tree-planting ceremony.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated through various activities at the Assistant High Commission of India in Khulna.

Earlier, on the morning of Monday, Pawan Kumar, the Assistant High Commissioner of India in Khulna, inaugurated the Hindi Diwas festivities by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the Assistant High Commission premises on Shamsur Rahman Road in the city.

Assistant High Commissioner Pawan Kumar delivered a speech welcoming and extending greetings to everyone present at the ‘Hindi Diwas and Hindi Fortnight-2026’ event.

The program featured poetry recitation, a quiz competition, and an impromptu speech contest in Hindi. Indian citizens residing in Khulna, High Commission officials and staff (along with their children), Indian students studying at Khulna Gazi Medical College, and invited guests participated in the events.

Additionally, as part of the three-day Hindi Diwas celebrations, various competitions—including art/illustration and essay writing—were held for High Commission officials and staff. Certificates, commemorative crests, and prizes were distributed to the winners at the conclusion of the competitions.

Second Secretary Shri Chandrajit Mukherjee and other officials were present at all these events.
