Md Shahdat Hossain Receives Microgrid Innovation Excellence Award 2026

At the prestigious International Royal Golden Fellow Award 2026 Ceremony and Second International Conference on Progressive Research in Humanities, Society and Emerging Methodologies 2026 HORIZON 2.0 2026 held on 30th July and 31st July, 2026, the selection committee reviewed numerous high-quality research submissions. Among these, the abstract submitted by Md Shahdat Hossain was recognized as exceptionally insightful and closely aligned with the conference theme. As a result, Md Shahdat Hossain was selected as one of the distinguished recipients of the Microgrid Innovation Excellence Award 2026, conferred by Eudoxia Research University, USA, and the Eudoxia Research Centre, India.

At the conference, Md Shahdat Hossain presented a survey-based study (250 professionals) on digital protection systems for high-voltage grids—identifying awareness/skills gaps, key barriers (cost, complexity), and performance gains (faster fault detection, reliability, stability). His framework guides strategic investment in grid resilience. Widely commended for empirical rigor and practical value, his work advances smart grid adoption globally.

Md Shahdat Hossain’s survey-based study (250 professionals) empirically links awareness and training to digital protection system adoption in high-voltage grids (r=0.45, r=0.41). It reveals a critical skills gap, key barriers (cost 24%, complexity 20%, skilled personnel 18%), and quantifiable gains (fault detection +20%, reliability +19%). The resulting framework guides utility managers and policymakers in strategic investment, workforce development, and grid resilience.

The award selection process for HORIZON 2.0 –2026 was overseen by an internationally recognized Central Organizing Committee, comprising distinguished scholars and institutional leaders. Key members included: Chief Patron: Prof. Dr. Rhituraj Saikia, President, Eudoxia Research University, USA Patron: Prof. Dr. Caleb Moyo, VC, Eudoxia Research University, USA Convener: Prof. Dr. Dimitrios A. Karras, Greece, Dean School of Science, Eudoxia Research University, USA Organizing Secretary: Dr. Edward Haberek Jr, Prof. ,Devry University, Arlington, USA  Prof. Dr. Rajesh G. Konnur, Pro-VC, Eudoxia Research University, New Castle, USA Coordinator: Dr. Smreeti Mehta, Registrar, Eudoxia Research University, USA & CGM, Eudoxia Research Centre, Bangalore, India Dr. Ashish Baldania, Assistant Professor, L.E. College, Gujarat, India Moderator: Prof. Dr.  Pratisha Kumari, Vice President, Eudoxia Research University, USA Dr. Bulus Pikitda, Dean School of Humanities, Eudoxia Research University, USA.

At HORIZON 2.0 – 2026, Md Shahdat Hossain’s research won unanimous acclaim for originality, impact, innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness—bringing distinction to Bangladesh. His work inspires professionals worldwide, offering a roadmap for grid resilience. For Bangladesh, it supports national modernization, loss reduction, and renewable integration (solar/wind) through robust digital protection systems. For the United States and other developed economies, the research is equally pertinent. The accelerating rollout of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure—particularly the expanding network of EV bus charging stations—has made microgrid solutions ever more essential. These localized systems, increasingly powered by solar and wind energy, demand intelligent protection frameworks capable of managing bidirectional power flows, averting outages, and guaranteeing safe and uninterrupted charging services. Hossain's framework equips utility planners and policymakers with data-informed strategies for effective deployment.

Globally, Hossain's research addresses urgent energy challenges—renewable intermittency, grid stability, rising fuel costs, and nuclear waste risks. His framework enables resilient, intelligent systems that integrate solar/wind, support EV/microgrid growth, and reduce reliance on costly or hazardous sources. The Microgrid Innovation Excellence Award 2026 recognizes his transformative contribution with impact for Bangladesh, the USA, and the world.
