Shooting unit attacked by miscreants during shoot in Chandpur

TBT REPORT

A shooting unit came under attack while filming a music video in Nilkamal Union of Haimchar Upazila, located in Chandpur.

According to reports, a 52-member shooting team from Dhaka went to Nilkomol Union on March 10, 2026, to shoot the song "Lakshisona Bou". They were joined by approximately 10 local support staff. Work on setting up the shooting site began on the 10th, with plans to film on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of March. A Nepalese actress was paired with a Bangladeshi model for this music video.

According to allegations, on the afternoon of March 12, the local Ward BNP President, Badal Bhuiyan, along with his associates, arrived at the shooting set. They threatened to stop the shooting and demanded Tk 1 lakh from the project's Director and Producer, JS Jisan. Tensions escalated when he refused to pay the money. The situation was temporarily calmed down following the intervention of some local individuals.

Later, during Iftar time, several members of the shooting unit were called to a local club. There, an attack was allegedly carried out on the shooting unit, led by Union BNP leader Nasir Uddin Mollah. In the attack, approximately 12-15 members of the shooting unit were injured, and the Director and Producer, JS Jisan, was seriously hurt. The injured received primary treatment.

It is learned that the shooting was taking place on land owned by JS Jisan and his team. After the incident, when local public representatives were informed, they did not take any immediate action but assured that the matter would be investigated and measures taken. They also requested not to file a complaint with the police station for the time being.

Meanwhile, video footage of the incident has already spread on social media, sparking widespread discussion in the area.

Following the incident, the entire unit was forced to halt shooting activities and return to Dhaka. It is reported that the production company has incurred a financial loss of approximately Tk 10 lakh. Tension has been prevailing in the local area since the incident.
