Govt takes initiative to implement election manifesto: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain today said the government has taken initiatives to implement its election manifesto.

He made the remarks while inaugurating the "Mahishakhali Canal Excavation and Re-excavation Project" in Monohardi upazila of Narsingdi.

The project aims at restoring water bodies and improving water management in the area.

Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain chaired the event.

BNP Standing Committee member and Member of Parliament from Narsingdi-2 Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan attended the function as the chief guest.

Among others, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-1 and Joint Secretary General of BNP; Monjur Elahi, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-3; Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-5; and Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al-Faruk were present at the programme.
