Govt to procure vaccines under EPI Programme thru DPM method

The government today approved a proposal in principle for procuring the vaccines being used in the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) for the current fiscal year (FY26) through following the Direct Procurement Method (DPM).

The approval came from the 1st meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Economic Affairs in this year held today at the Cabinet Division Conference Room at Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed in the chair.

The procurement will be conducted under the project titled "Loan 4078 (COL)/4079-BAN: Responsive COVID-19 Vaccines for Recovery Project under the Asia Pacific Vaccines Access Facility (APVAX)."

The Health Services Division placed the proposal before the committee. After discussion, the committee recommended the proposal for approval in principle.
