

TBT DESK: Islamic Television's Special Correspondent and Chief Reporter Rafiq Uzzaman has been elected as the vice-president of Reporters Against Corruption (RAC), an organization of anti-corruption journalists.
The 15-member executive committee was elected for the next one year through direct voting by the members at the end of the organization's annual general meeting (AGM) on Friday, December 19. Rafiq Uzzaman was elected as the vice-president by a large margin.
Shafi Uddin Ahmed, assignment editor of Channel S, was elected as the president, and Tabarul Haque, senior reporter of the daily Amadersomoy, was elected as the general secretary, Taslimul Alam Touhid, associate senior reporter of Somoy Television, was elected as the joint general secretary, and Maruf Kibria, senior reporter of the daily Manabzamin, was elected as the organizing secretary.
Saiful Islam Montu of Daily Ajkaler Khabar has been elected as Finance Editor, Masud Rana of Rajdhani TV as Office Editor, Naznin Akter Lucky of Sarabangla dot net as Publicity and Publication Editor, Jannatul Ferdousi of GTV as Training and Welfare Editor, and Fazlur Rahman of Daily Janakantha as Sports and Cultural Editor.
In addition, senior journalist Abul Kashem, Abdullah Al Mamun of Daily Jugantor, Jamiul Ahsan Shipu of Daily Ittefaq, Matlu Mallik of Daily Khabarer Kagoj and Saif Bablu of Rupali Bangladesh have won the executive member positions.
