Tarique Rahman attributes Zia family's strength into people's overwhelmed support

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep gratitude to the countrymen, saying the united support of the people has become a powerful source of strength and inspiration for Zia family during this difficult time.

In a post on his verified facebook page this morning, he wrote: "I want to take a moment, on behalf of the Zia family and BNP, to give our most profound thanks for the remarkable outpouring of support for Begum Khaleda Zia's recovery."

He went on saying, "The widespread expressions of concern from leaders, diplomats, and friends across the world, as well as the overwhelming love and prayers from the people of Bangladesh have been incredible."

"This collective support has been a source of immense strength for all of us," said Tarique Rahman, adding, "We continue to pray for her recovery and appreciate the unity, compassion, and solidarity shown during this difficult moment."

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various health problems for a long time, including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, liver cirrhosis, and kidney complications.

She fell sick and experienced increased breathing difficulty after returning home on November 21 following the Armed Forces Day event. On November 23, she was urgently taken to Evercare Hospital in the capital.

According to doctors, she has been diagnosed with pneumonia along with several other complications.
