TBT DESK: A three-day international exhibition focusing on infrastructure development, power generation, renewable energy, water management, and construction equipment has kicked off in Dhaka.
The event, titled SAFECON 2025, opened this Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, who also addressed the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
Organised by Savor International Limited, the exhibition aims to bring together stakeholders and innovators from across the infrastructure and energy sectors, both locally and internationally.
In his keynote speech, Secretary Rahman highlighted the growing importance of adopting modern technology and sustainable materials in infrastructure development. "To build a resilient and future-ready nation, we must embrace innovation and environmentally sound construction practices," he said.
Also present at the opening were Han Jingchao, Vice President of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB); Md. Abu Sadeque, Executive Director of the Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI); Syed Moazzem Hossain, President of the Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI); Engineer Md. Hasmatuzzaman, President of FESCAB; and Md. Faizul Alam, Managing Director of Savor International Limited.
A wide range of local and international companies are participating in the exhibition, showcasing their latest technologies and products related to construction, energy, renewable resources, and water systems.
The exhibition is open to visitors daily from 10am to 7pm and will run until Saturday.
