Bubly starrer ‘Sardar Barir Khela to hit theaters this Eid

TBT REPORT

As the countdown to Eid-ul-Azha continues, the list of films set for release is growing steadily. Following previously announced titles like Taandob, Neelchakra, Insaaf, Esha Murder, Tagar, Utsob, Nadan, and Gowar, a new addition has entered the fray — Sardar Barir Khela, starring popular actress Shabnam Bubly.

The announcement was made by Bubly herself via a Facebook post, where she unveiled the poster of the film and confirmed that she would be gracing the silver screen this Eid. The film is directed by Rakhal Sabuj and is based on the story, screenplay, and dialogues by Onon Zaman. Bubly stars opposite actor Ziaul Roshan in it.

The poster has already stirred excitement, featuring Bubly in a gritty, unconventional look. She appears as a weary, battle-hardened woman with a somber gaze, unkempt hair, and a furrowed brow — a stark contrast to her typical glamorous roles. Fans have praised her transformative appearance and expressed enthusiasm for the role.

This Eid-ul-Azha release follows a moderately successful Eid-ul-Fitr season, where six films hit theatres. While half of them struggled at the box office, the other three garnered critical acclaim including the Bubly starrer “Jongli”.
