Indian, Chinese foreign ministers wish Momen’s early recovery

DHAKA, – Foreign ministers of India and China have wished early recovery of Bangladesh foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, who was tested COVID-19 positive last week.

In a message, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar hoped that Dr Momen would recover soon and resume his routine works, said a foreign ministry press release here today.

Meanwhile, in a separate message Chine state councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi said China is always ready to extend any support to Dr Momen for his early recovery.

He said it is a difficult time for all and it is necessary to be united and support each other in this challenging time. Foreign minister Momen remains in isolation at home following physicians’ advice.
