Staff Correspondent: A new committee of the Borhanuddin Foundation has been formed with the aim of establishing democratic values, ensuring the rule of law, and building a dynamic, welfare-oriented Borhanuddin. Md. Jahurul Haque has been elected as the President, while Md. Zahid Hossain has been elected as the General Secretary. Additionally, Engineer Md. Helal Uddin Talukder has been elected as the Senior Vice President.
The 71-member committee was unanimously formed at a general meeting held on Friday at the conference hall of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in the capital. More than a hundred people from various professions, originally from Borhanuddin Upazila and residing in Dhaka, attended the meeting.
The new committee has 10 vice-presidents, 11 joint general secretaries, 3 organizational secretaries, 3 publicity secretaries, 2 finance secretaries, 2 office secretaries, 2 women secretaries, 1 education and research secretary, 2 human resource development and training secretaries, 2 legal secretaries, 1 social service secretary, 1 international secretary, 1 information and technology secretary, 1 youth and sports secretary, 2 health secretaries, 1 planning secretary, 1 environment and climate secretary, 1 literary and cultural secretary.
Additionally, the committee includes 21 executive members.
According to the foundation’s newly approved constitution, the tenure of this committee has been set for the next two years.
