People get justice, if court, prosecution, administration, police work in  coordination: Asif Nazrul

Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul today said the people would get justice if the four important organizations of the state work in coordination.

“If the four important organizations of the state -- court, prosecution, administration and police -- work in a coordinated way, the people of the country will get justice and the law and order will improve,” he said.

He made the remarks while addressing a workshop on "Implementing the law emphasizing human rights and the environment in the changing situation of the country" at Bangladesh Police Auditorium at Rajarbagh here.

The law adviser said the country is now passing a tough time following the dislodge of the fascist Awami League (AL) government in face of the student-people July-August mass uprising.

“They (the fallen fascist AL government) have destroyed everything from law and order to judiciary and the economy,” he said.

He said mob justice will be reduced if the police and court are functional.

“The people want all the organizations of the state to work effectively,” he said.

Home Adviser Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Rted.) spoke at the workshop as the chief guest.

Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan also addressed the workshop presided over by Senior Home Secretary Nasimul Ghani.

Judges of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court, Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court and District and Sessions Judge Court, district magistrates, Special Court judges, government lawyers, members of law enforcement agencies and members of intelligence agencies took part in the workshop.
