Bangladesh observes one-day state mourning on Sheikh Khalifa’s death

DHAKA,  – Bangladesh today observed one-day state mourning in respect to the memory of Bahrain’s Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who breathed his last on November 11 at the age of 84.

Marking the day, the national flag was hoisted at half-mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous offices, educational institutions and all government and non-government buildings and at all missions abroad.

Special prayers were offered at all mosques across the country and other places of worship for other religions, seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Sheikh Khalifa, one of the world’s longest-serving prime ministers.
