SP Group try to pay for garment workers' education expenses

Sharif Sikder, kapasia Correspondent Gazipur: SP Group's AMC Knit Composite Managing Director Subal Chandra Saha said, "I will pay for the education expenses of the workers. I will bear all the education expenses of the workers who are studying in the factory. Even if a worker has to be taken abroad for education, the company will bear the expenses from now on."

Today, Thursday at 11 am, a program was held in the meeting room of AMC Bhaban in Baniyar Chala village, Member Bari, Gazipur Sadar Upazila.

AMC Group Managing Director Subal Chandra Saha said, "I am very happy to see all of you present at today's 'Happy New Year Basket Distribution Program. This program once again proves to us that AMC and B&C are committed to building a long-term relationship together. We have been working together for more than 30 years - this is undoubtedly a great milestone of pride for us. Our employees are the foundation of our success. The work we do may seem small, but we are trying to ensure that our workers and their families receive support, especially during difficult times.

Mr. Luk, COO of B and C, subsidiary AMC’s (buyer) said, “This is a testament to the strong partnership that began in 1997 with SP Group. For over 27 years, our shared values ​​and collaboration have been driving us forward, and this is a success achieved as a result of our combined efforts. With this promising collaboration from Mr. Saha, we have been able to distribute more baskets for 4,300 workers and their rebar.

AMC Quality Inspector labor Nusrat jahan said, “I am working in this factory and studying at Bhawal Badre Alam College. I have achieved A+ results in SSC. I am proud to work in this company.”

AMC Swing Operator Adnan said, “We receive gifts every year. We thank the owner for providing grocery items.”

AMC Safety Committee Member and Factory Operator Afroza akter said, “We always get paid on time.”

AMC Quality Inspector Farida Yasmin said, we have received rice, pulses, flour, soybean oil in this difficult time.

Later, they gave gifts to the children of the workers for their education. The authorities said that they will pay for the education of all the children until graduation.
