The words are from singer Emon Khan, who has gifted several popular songs including Ajo Prati Raat Jege Thaki Tomar Ashaay; the song that sparked the country’s audio industry.
The people of the country and abroad know as disgruntled emperor singer of Bengal. He said these words while talking about his dream and reality about music in an exclusive interview with The Bangladesh today. Although known as Emon to everyone in the family, everyone knows him as Emon Khan as a singer.
He was born and brought up in Majhipara village of Bangala union of Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district. Emon Khan’s song was first written by Ustad Sree Bimal Chandra Das. He was very fond of music since childhood. Besides, listening to this man music on radio TV, who has been humming since he was only ten years old, was like an addiction. Everyone in the area knew him as the song-crazy Emon.
Emon Khan has worked with the music of famous lyricist composers and music directors of the country, today his career has more than 1000 original songs, some of which have gained immense popularity.
In 2005, Emon Khan journey in the music industry started with the album Amar Moynare, the songs of the album were written by Sagar Ahmed and composed by Jalal Ahmed. The album received a fair response in the market and later in 2008, the album Keu Bojhena Moner Bhatha gained immense popularity across the country. In that journey, Emon Khan established a strong position in the audio industry.
After that, there was no look back. Apart from working on songs with the renowned audio company of the country, the singer spent his busy time with stage shows outside the country as well. Besides, after the end of the era of cassettes, in the era of online music publishing, he has also spent a busy time with music and his songs have found a place in the hearts of billions of listeners.
Emon Khan popular original songs albums include -Keu Bojhena Moner Batha, Mann Bojhena Moner Mansoom, Amar Nayre Apanjon, Kashter Nadi, Bukete Hath Thare Bolo, and several others. At present, he has about 50 song projects in hand from various companies in the country. The artist said that the songs will be released soon after recording and shooting.
When asked about dreams of his music, Emon Khan also said song is the food of human heart.” I also want this song to satisfy people. I myself would be very happy if I could do this. May Allah grant me. I have nothing more to say. I love Bengali songs.
