President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said the country\u2019s engineering and technology universities play a very important role in preparing world class human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Engineering and technology universities of the country play a very important role in developing skilled, innovative and technology-oriented human resources, who are capable of meeting the challenges of the modern world,\" he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President said this when a delegation of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) paid a courtesy call on him at the Bangabhaban today, President\u2019s Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam told BSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RUET vice-chancellor Professor S M Abdur Razzak led the delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the delegation briefed the President on the university\u2019s academic activities, research, infrastructural development and overall academic progress<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Engineering and technology universities have a very important role in the country\u2019s technological and economic development,\" the President said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed enhancing the capacity of RUET to improve the quality of its education and research and elevate them to international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
