Behind her glittering film career lay years of unspoken pain. Popular 1990s actress Sadika Parvin Popy has now opened up about those experiences, speaking about the hurt she endured from her family and the way she was treated by them. She also spoke about her three decades of struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Popy made her big-screen debut in 1996 with Kuli, directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar. She won the audience\u2019s attention with her very first film and went on to establish herself in Dhallywood with her sweet smile, acting skills and personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early in her career, Popy\u2019s mother was often seen accompanying her at shooting locations and elsewhere. In recent times, however, reports of a distance between Popy and her mother have surfaced, along with various allegations made by her mother against the actress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid the controversy, Popy has spoken openly about her family experiences. Introducing the woman who brought her into the film industry as her stepmother in the media, the actress said, \u201cI have suffered for 30 years. (In an emotional voice) They never understood my pain. They always used me as a money-making machine. There was no end to their demands. The more they received, the more their demands grew.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the lasting impact of those experiences, Popy added, \u201cI still haven\u2019t been able to overcome the trauma I suffered from my stepmother\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Popy began her film journey in 1996. Despite going through many ups and downs over her long career, she has maintained her popularity with audiences. She is currently busy with her husband and child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
