Popular lyricist, writer and journalist Anurup Aich is the president of the organisation, while several well-known film personalities and journalists have joined in different positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After receiving the registration certificate from Bangladesh Film Certification Board Vice-Chairman Abdur Rahman recently, General Secretary Jibon Shahadat said the organisation aims to work in accordance with the Film Societies Act, 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur goal is to promote the growth and development of Bangla cinema among Bengali-speaking audiences in Bangladesh and across the world,\u201d he said, expressing gratitude to the ministry and the Film Certification Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President Anurup Aich said Bengal Film Society would particularly focus on supporting young filmmakers from marginalised and remote areas.
