\u200bThe three-day summit is scheduled for November 25\u201327, 2026, at the University of Nairobi (UON), Kenya. Its official title is \"The Nairobi International Summit on Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts: Protecting Journalists and Strengthening Humanitarian Support Systems.\"
An international Zoom meeting regarding this matter was held last night, in which Raju Lama, President of the SAARC Journalists Forum, and Secretary General Md. Abdur Rahman participated.Organizers emphasize that the summit seeks to establish a lasting international platform\u2014one that safeguards frontline truth-tellers and reinforces the crucial role of free, independent journalism in driving global peace, accountability, and human .
\u200bOrganized by Infonile Communications Ltd in partnership with the University of Nairobi and Ecopark Global Initiative, the summit will gather journalists, media organizations, government officials, diplomatic missions, humanitarian agencies, policymakers, tech companies, security experts, and civil society representatives from across the globe.
\u200bTheme and Core Objectives
This year\u2019s theme\u2014\"Silencing the Guns, Amplifying the Truth: Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts in the Face of Threats to Journalists and Humanitarians\"\u2014aims to address the escalating dangers faced by media professionals and aid personnel operating in high-risk conflict areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bThrough evidence-based discussions, safety workshops, policy dialogues, survivor testimonies, technology exhibitions, and international cooperation, delegates will collaborate on practical solutions to enhance safety, combat impunity, and ensure accountability under international law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bThe Nairobi Declaration and UN Advocacy
The summit will culminate in the adoption of the historic Nairobi Declaration on Peaceful Resolution of Conflicts, a global advocacy framework intended for formal submission to the United Nations to push for stronger legal protections.
