Prime Minister\u2019s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman today said completing six months in office and running the country normally despite a fragile economy and disorder inherited from the previous government is itself a major achievement for the current government. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday marks 180 days of the present government. Despite the mess and fragile situation left behind by the previous government, the fact that the present government has been able to run the country normally is a great achievement for us,\u201d he said.
Ruman made the remarks in his welcome address at a views-exchange at the \u2018Shapla\u2019 Hall of the Prime Minister\u2019s Tejgaon Office this noon, marking the government\u2019s completion of six months in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister\u2019s Press Secretary AAM Saleh Shibly chaired the event while Prime Minister\u2019s advisers Nazrul Islam Khan, Md Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Md Ismail Zabihullah, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon and Prime Minister\u2019s Adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman also spoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ministers and advisers answered various questions from journalists at the meeting.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, Prime Minister\u2019s Special Assistant on Health Affairs S M Ziauddin Hyder, SDG Chief Coordinator Professor SM Abdul Awal were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among others, Prime Minister\u2019s Political Assistant Rashed Khan, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farjana, Principal Information Officer (PIO) Syed Abdal Ahmed, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Secretary General Kader Gani Chowdhury, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) General Secretary Khurshid Alam, Managing Director of the Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust Mohammad Abdul Basir (Basir Jamal), Prime Minister\u2019s Speech Writer Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Press Secretaries Jahidul Islam Rony, Md.
