The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has allocated and distributed cash assistance and relief materials to seven
flood-affected districts hit by heavy rainfall, flash floods from upstream, and landslides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flood-affected districts are Khagrachhari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Moulvibazar and Habiganj. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 57 upazilas, 334 unions and nine municipalities have been inundated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The floods have claimed 57 lives and left 40 people injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To provide shelter to the affected people, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has opened 111 shelter centres temporarily housing
4,079 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, from July 7 until today, the ministry has released humanitarian assistance amounting to Taka 4.60 crore in cash and 8,950 tonnes
of rice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of this, Taka 1.75 lakh and 3,250 tonnes of rice have been distributed to the seven flood-affected districts. The remaining 57 districts have received Taka
