{"id":35403,"date":"2026-07-14T12:38:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:38:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=35403"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:38:10","slug":"bangladesh-saudi-arabia-hold-meeting-to-strengthen-transport-logistics-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=35403","title":{"rendered":"Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia hold meeting to strengthen transport, logistics cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia today held high-level bilateral meetings to further expand cooperation in the transport, logistics and port development sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was held between Bangladesh\u2019s Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, Railways and Shipping, Sheikh Robiul Alam, and a high-level Saudi delegation led by Vice Minister for Transport and Logistics Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih at the secretariat here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two sides discussed port infrastructure development, maritime transport, modernization of logistics systems, expansion of investment opportunities, exchange of skills and technology, and various issues of mutual interest, said a PID handout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Shipping Minister highlighted the ongoing development activities in Bangladesh\u2019s maritime sector, the increased capacity of Chattogram and Mongla ports, various mega projects including the Bay Terminal, and the prospects for foreign investment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He invited Saudi investors to invest in Bangladesh\u2019s port and logistics sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih praised Bangladesh's economic progress and the development of its maritime transport sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors to further deepen the existing friendly relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah bin Abiyah and senior officials of the two countries were present at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both sides expressed their firm commitment to taking Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia relations to a new height through stronger bilateral cooperation, exchange of experience and implementation of joint initiatives in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia today held high-level bilateral meetings to further expand cooperation in the transport, logistics and port development sectors.
