Since its release during Eid, director Abu Hayat Mahmud\u2019s film \u201cPrince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka\u201d has remained at the centre of controversy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A month after its release, the Bangladesh Film Certification Board temporarily suspended the film\u2019s certification following allegations that songs and scenes not included in the approved version had been added and screened. As a result, the film\u2019s exhibition in cinemas was halted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, the team behind \u201cPrince\u201d re-edited several scenes and resubmitted the film for certification. Following a fresh review, the board withdrew the suspension order on Sunday (May 24) and granted the film an \u201cA\u201d category certification, clearing the way for its screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Produced by Shirin Sultana under the banner of Creative Land Films, \u201cPrince\u201d features performances by Shakib Khan, Tasnia Farin and Jyotirmoyee Kundu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The film is also preparing for its next release window. On the second day of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, \u201cPrince\u201d is scheduled to have its world television premiere on Channel i.
