The appeal came during a high-level meeting at the BCCCI office on Sunday with a 20-member Chinese delegation representing the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), the China Dyeing and Printing Association (CDPA), and several leading firms in dyeing, printing, and chemical manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading the Bangladesh side, BCCCI President Mohd Khorshed Alam described the meeting as an important platform for dialogue and knowledge-sharing between the two countries, particularly in textile, dyeing and printing industries. He highlighted that more than 40 industrial units in Bangladesh are currently facing financial and technical difficulties and stressed that modernising existing factories through foreign collaboration would be more practical and cost-effective than setting up new facilities. He also encouraged Chinese investors to pursue joint ventures, partnerships and technology transfer initiatives to improve industrial efficiency and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Li Lingshen, head of the visiting Chinese delegation, thanked BCCCI for its hospitality and noted that China exports approximately $9 billion worth of fabrics to Bangladesh each year, underlining the strength of bilateral trade relations. He said both Chinese state-owned and private enterprises are actively exploring investment opportunities in Bangladesh and Southeast Asia, identifying Bangladesh as a promising destination due to its robust manufacturing base and skilled workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussions during the meeting focused on expanding cooperation in garments, textiles, dyeing and printing, while addressing strategic issues such as joint ventures, Export Processing Zones (EPZs), energy challenges, supply chain integration and technology transfer.
