Chief Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Md. Nurul\u00a0Islam today said that two ships carrying a total of 200,000 metric tons (MT)\u00a0of fuel oil anchored at the jetty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said this is such a development that also deserved media attention\u00a0alongside reports on the country's only state-owned refinery, Eastern\u00a0Refinery PLC in Chattogram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Whip noted that while the news of the refinery's closure received\u00a0significant coverage in the media, the positive development of oil supply\u00a0through the arrival of the two ships should have been equally highlighted.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"The media should present positive developments alongside negative news,\" he\u00a0added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nurul Islam made these remarks while briefing journalists at the tunnel of\u00a0the JS Bhaban during a break of the day's sitting in the first session of the\u00a013th Jatiya Sangsad, said a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since assuming office, the Prime Minister has been working for the overall\u00a0welfare of the country, he said.

\"His key priorities include ensuring people's well-being, building a humane\u00a0state, establishing democracy, and safeguarding the country's independence\u00a0and sovereignty,\" Nurul Islam added.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside protecting sovereignty, the government is also working to ensure\u00a0justice in all sectors, he continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highlighting the importance of skilled manpower for employment generation,\u00a0the Chief Whip said that the government is focusing on equipping people with\u00a0multilingual skills.

He emphasized the need to learn Arabic for employment in the Middle East,\u00a0Mandarin for China, Italian for Italy, Korean for South Korea, and Japanese\u00a0for Japan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also stressed the importance of English as a second language, describing\u00a0it as a global language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this regard, the Chief Whip mentioned that the Education Minister will\u00a0prepare a guideline after conducting nationwide consultations and later\u00a0submit it to the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding constitutional amendment, the Chief Whip said that although there\u00a0are some differences of opinion between the government and the opposition,\u00a0both sides will eventually reach a consensus and bring forward a joint\u00a0proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
