Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Saida Shinichi today paid a courtesy call on Industries Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir at his office in Motijheel here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, they discussed ways to expand cooperation in the industrial sector between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Industries Minister said Japan is a long-standing development partner and a trusted friend of Bangladesh, playing a significant role in the country\u2019s socio-economic development and industrialisation. He stressed further strengthening mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Japanese envoy said Japan would continue its support for Bangladesh\u2019s development journey, as in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also welcomed the proposal to establish a Ship Recycling Facility with a Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) in Sitakunda, Chattogram, and said a rapid feasibility study would be undertaken in this regard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
